Registration Process: Email events@awsottawa.com to reserve your spot. If we have your credit card pre-authorization form then you are all set. If we don't you'll need to complete the pre-authorization form and send it to the address above to confirm your reservation.

Event Cancellations:

In the event of a member-initiated cancellation, notification must be made 5 days before the event and there will be no charge to the registrant. If less than 5 days notice is received, the registered person may designate another person(s), but is still responsible for payment and will be charged for the event.

Why join the Australian Wine Society?

Rod Phillips, wine writer for the Ottawa Citizen, says "If you join the Australian Wine Society you'll get a chance to taste widely." [ May 27, 2004 ] Ottawa loves Aussie Shirazes and Chardonnays but we also like to try other Aussie varieties.

AWS Ottawa members can:

  • Become familiar with the wines of Australia, many of them only available from our cellar
  • Enjoy wines in a very social, non-intimidating environment, suitable to both the expert and novice
  • Learn from expert speakers, visiting wine makers and fellow members
  • Get advance notification of wine events in and around Ottawa
  • Attend events open only to members such as our popular Aussie Summer BBQ held in August at the Australian High Commissioner's residence
  • Enjoy a discount on AWS events and other wine events

How to Become a Member?
Becoming a member of the Australian Wine Society of Ottawa is quite easy. Before you become a member we want to ensure that you understand how we operate as a volunteer organization.

Please note: We communicate with our membership by email only and only accept payment by Visa or Mastercard. We do this to keep communication and administration costs to a minimum.

To ensure that you receive our emails please add info@awsottawa.com and events@awsottawa.com to your "whitelist" or known contact list for your email service.

• Membership runs from Sept 1 to August 31
• Annual membership is $35.00 for a single and $60.00 per couple
