Why Join?
Savings
Members enjoy a discount on all AWS Ottawa events. In addition,
certain events hosted by other organizations and wine societies
also offer discounts to AWS members. Plus your AWS Ottawa
membership is recognized by the AWS Toronto through our reciprocal
agreement.
Member-Only Events
Although we encourage everyone to attend the events and enjoy and
learn about the wines of Australia, some events have limited
capacity or other considerations that require that they be
restricted to members. The summer BBQ, which is traditionally
held at the residence of the Australian High Commissioner to Canada,
is one such example.
Interesting Venues & Experiences
The AWS provides the opportunity to savour the wines of Australia
in a variety of social and comfortable environments. From the black-tie
dinner in January, to cruising on the Rideau Canal in the spring sun,
to participating in an "Old World Wines" vs. "New World Wines" taste-off
with delightful morsels, you can be assured of great wine and food in a
variety of settings. A great way to meet some interesting people and to
make some new friends.

Membership Information
The membership year of the AWS runs for a year from the date you sign up.
Cost for a membership is $35 per person per year. It renews automatically
after 1 year, but you can cancel at any time directly through PayPal or via
email to events@awsottawa.com.
Payment is via PayPal, which we use as it provides significant savings
in time and money to the AWS. See the

page if you would like more information or if you would prefer an alternative
method of payment.
We communicate with our membership by email to keep costs low and to provide
quick distribution of information. To ensure that you receive AWS emails,
please add events@awsottawa.com to your "whitelist" or "known contact list"
in your email service.
